I’m thrilled to announce that I’m now offering a range of editorial services, including manuscript assessments, ESL (English as a Second Language) editing, and personalized writing coaching.
Whether you're preparing your manuscript for competitions, pitches, or publication, I’m here to support you through the entire process.
manuscript assessment / writing coaching
As a horror and fantasy writer myself, I understand the dedication and effort it takes to craft a compelling story. Editing isn’t just about fixing technical issues; it’s about making sure your narrative shines. The process can feel daunting—I've spent years refining my debut novel, Red On The Inside, before it was ready for publication. So, I know firsthand how important it is to have support through the inevitable doubts and challenges that arise during editing.
I offer more than just feedback on plot or character development. I’m here to help with themes, structure, consistency, and pacing. But most importantly, I’m here to provide encouragement and constructive support every step of the way.
ESL Editing: Tailored to Your Needs
I'm also excited to offer ESL Editing (or English Fluency Editing) to help non-native English speakers, or authors who have already translated their manuscripts into English, ensure their work resonates authentically with their audience. I focus on capturing nuances, improving grammatical structures, and ensuring cultural references land effectively.
A Special Focus on Genre Fiction
I have a special interest in working with manuscripts in the horror, fantasy, and sci-fi genres. As a horror writer myself, I have a deep understanding of the tropes, conventions, and nuances of these genres. One of my favorite aspects of editing is helping authors enhance their world-building and create immersive, compelling worlds for readers.
Why Work With Me?
I hold professional proofreading and editing qualifications from Knowadays (formerly Proofreading Academy), and I’ve been certified as a proofreader through Urban Writers.
As a writer, I’ve contributed to a variety of blogs and magazines, and my work has been recognized with longlisting for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the Mslexia Children’s & YA Novel Award.
I also hold a Classical Civilisations degree from King’s College London, where I studied English in my first year before specializing in Classics.
I’m passionate about helping authors hone their craft and bring their manuscripts to the next level.
